Google to buy Motorola Mobility company for 12.5 Billion dollars [Google]

Google to buy Motorola Mobility in 12.5 Billion Dollars. Deal will be completed by late 2011 or in early 2012. Deal will be approved by government.

Before Google have been letting other companies to manufacture handsets with their Android platform. Now also Google’s Android platform will remain open source and available for other companies to continue manufacturing Android handsets.

Google is now more like Apple who will have its own software manufactured smartphones.

Google have adopted this strategy because of the competition with Microsoft and Apple.

Motorola and Motorola mobility are two parts of same company. Where Motorola mobility focus is phones and telecommunication. Motorola Mobility was already manufacturing Android handsets. Motorola will help Google in Android smartphones, Google TV and other products.

Other Android handset manufacturers are welcoming this deal between Google and Motorola. And they are calling it a defense against Microsoft and Apple.
